Aulive in June: New Partnerships, New Placements, and Big Steps Forward for UK Midwives Moving to Australia
June at Aulive HQ
At Aulive, June was a month of real momentum. From new hospital partnerships across Australia to continued support for the NHS midwives, nurses, and doctors already on their relocation journey, it's been a busy few weeks, and we wanted to share some of the highlights with the community who follow us.
Strengthening Our Hospital Partnerships Across Australia
One of the biggest milestones this month was formalising a new supply agreement with a major New South Wales health district, opening up further placement opportunities for UK-trained midwives looking to relocate to Australia. This kind of partnership is central to what we do, it means more verified, high-quality roles for our candidates, and stronger long-term relationships with the hospitals who trust Aulive to find the right people.
We also spent June deepening relationships with health networks in Victoria and Western Australia, continuing conversations that in some cases have been years in the making. Recruitment in the healthcare sector isn't a quick process, it's built on trust, consistency, and showing up for hospitals just as much as for candidates. June was a reminder of why that long game matters.

Showcasing Our Candidates
We were proud this month to put together a candidate showcase for one of our Victorian hospital partners, highlighting a group of talented UK midwives ready to bring their skills to Australian maternity units. Every candidate we represent goes through a thorough registration and preparation process, and moments like this, where hospitals get to see the calibre of people we work with, are genuinely one of the best parts of the job.
Keeping the Aulive Community Connected
Alongside the business development side, June also saw us continue building out content for midwives and nurses considering the move to Australia, covering everything from what AHPRA registration actually involves, to what life looks like in an Australian maternity unit, to honest answers about visas and relocation logistics. If you're following our socials, you'll have seen more of these bite-sized guides landing on Instagram and TikTok.
We also kept our candidate tracking and support processes running behind the scenes, because relocation doesn't stop at the job offer, it's the ongoing pastoral care, the check-ins, and the small updates that make the difference between a stressful move and a smooth one.
Looking Ahead
With 350+ successful placements behind us, June has set us up well for the next chapter of hospital partnerships and candidate journeys. If you're a UK-trained midwife, nurse, or doctor considering a move to Australia, or a hospital looking for a recruitment partner who understands both sides of the process, we'd love to hear from you.
