Founder of Aulive
Meet Olivia
I have been a midwife for 15 years. I started my degree straight from college and, at the time, I was the youngest in my midwifery cohort. After gaining my band 6, I was offered the opportunity to become a midwife in Australia. After months of procrastination, I finally arrived in Melbourne and I have had the most fulfilling life there so far. My main roles have included Birth Suit Coordinator, Consultant Midwife and Head of Quality and Safety (Womens’ & Newborn program). Moving to Australia was a pivotal moment in my career. I believe that this move and my passion and determination, is the reason that I have had such a fruitful career so far.
As the founder of Aulive, I get to witness professionals at a fundamental turning point of their life. A decision that, I know will better them and their career. I get so excited every time an Aulive candidates decides to take the leap.
Aulive was born in amongst my journey, and this is now my main focus. I want to provide health care workers with a unique, supportive and achievable service to relocate you to Australia. Whether your move is for 6 months or forever, I am here to help you.
Living the dream
My experience
in Australia
My experience in Australia has been positively life changing. It has enriched my life on a level that I was previously unaware that needed enriching. For me, my move can be described as the equilibrium found between career progression and self-discovery. Not only did my career elevate, but I became the founder of Aulive, a novice yogi, a knitter and a foodie. I began to understand a simpler way of living, and I now appreciate the ritual in simple things like my morning coffee and a bush or beach walk. For me, some of the most appealing benefits of relocating to Australia include:
The landscape. Did you know that Melbourne Victoria is one of the only places in the world where you can go skiing and be on the beach in the same day?
The food. Australia is a culturally diverse and cosmopolitan country. The produces there mirrors this diversity, and offers you the opportunity to experience cuisine that you otherwise wouldn't try. You have probably heard of smashed avocado on toast, but its isn't just 'avo on toast' in Australia. Simple dishes become a fusion of cultures and past experiences, and when they are executed perfectly, you won't find that dish as good anywhere else.
The way of life. It really is as chilled and laid back as people say it is.
The money. You work to live in Australia. You will certainly be better off financially when applying for the roles that we have to offer.
